Since you spend a third of your life in your bedroom, it's important to make it a place where you can relax. Before, my bedroom was a mishmash of used and cheap furniture that was already falling apart. It was nothing like the peaceful place I'd always wanted my bedroom to be.
After reading so many good things about Raymour & Flanigan bedroom furniture, I decided to buy from them for a bedroom makeover because:
1) They sell only high-quality pieces of furniture. Because I am a homeowner now, I am only making investments in high-quality furniture that will last for many years to come. Because of this, I am very selective about which pieces I bring into our home now.
2) They are a New York-based company, and I am a huge fan of supporting local businesses whenever I can.
3) They are making remarkable efforts toward sustainability, including recycling 99 percent of their packaging! Their furniture is delivered without packaging, so they can recycle everything! Since 2002, they've diverted 200 million pounds of packaging from landfills with the help of employees devoted solely to this initiative.
You've probably seen their ads if you're a New Yorker; the company has been around since 1947. However, I was blown away by what I found out after researching them further:
Not only was I unaware that Raymour & Flanigan offers shipping times as low as TWO days, but I also had no idea that they were famous for their lightning-fast service. Some of the items arrived in the showroom so quickly it's unbelievable! Additionally environmentally conscious, they ensure that delivery trucks take the most efficient routes possible.
The showroom allowed us to examine each piece of furniture in detail before making a final purchase decision. There have been times when I've ordered furniture online only to find that it didn't look anything like the photos. Returning the item was a hassle, so I ended up keeping it. I know I won't have that problem again when I place an order here.
Admittedly, the dresser was the most crucial component of the redesign for me, as I needed to ensure that it had sufficient storage space, and this Raymour & Flanigan Dresser does not disappoint in that regard.
This is so spacious that I was able to put items from my closet inside of it. Even so, I must confess that we bought the bedroom chest for the two of them because the hubby required his very own set of drawers. There are a lot of drawers, so much so that he may have trouble using them all. It's quite sturdy and will last for years to come; the top drawers of both pieces are felt-lined, which is a nice touch.
The inexpensive nightstands that I had bought in the past and come to have such buyer's remorse over were one of the things that caused me the most annoyance in the previous configuration of our bedroom.
These Raymour & Flanigan Nightstands have really changed the way things are done. I keep telling Josh that it feels like we're staying in a hotel room that has so many drawers for storage that you don't know what to do with all of them when you get there. It has such an opulent air about it!
If you aren't quite ready to give your bedroom an entire makeover, I would suggest beginning with the accessories in your room to give it a new look and feel in the meantime.

If I had to choose, I'd say that this particular aspect of the nightstands is what I like the most. We used to have an issue with all of our cords being on display, such as those used to charge our electronic devices, plug-in lamps, and extend our electrical outlets. It was disruptive and out of place in the tranquil haven, I had envisioned for our bedroom. The cables are securely connected and hidden in the stand's back. Wow, that's pretty clever.
Before the renovation, I never wanted anyone to see my bedroom, but now I can't wait to show it off to guests. What a wonderful experience! I can't wait to use Raymour & Flanigan again to furnish another room in my home.
