I try to eat well, take care of my skin, and work out whenever I can (I've been exploring a lot of new free streaming apps lately!). but I've always had trouble staying on top of taking my multivitamins.

And I wanted to be institutionalized terribly. (Especially considering how difficult it is to meet daily nutrient requirements through diet alone.) Anyway, here's what always seemed to happen: I'd learn about something new, get really excited about it, and use it for a while, but then I'd either forget to bring it on a trip or forget to re-order it when I ran out.

After a few weeks, I'd forget all about taking the multivitamin. To be honest, I kind of expected the same thing to happen when I started taking Ritual (after being #influenced by a lot of other bloggers I follow and respect).

I promise I'm not being overdramatic when I say that these multivitamins are unlike any other brand I've ever tried. Every night before I go to sleep, I take an "Essential for Women" multivitamin, and, get this, I've been pretty good about remembering to pack them in my carry-on when I travel.

There are a lot of people who swear by them, and I believe there are a few reasons why they work so well for me. Without further ado, here is my assessment of the Ritual Vitamins. After thinking about it, I decided to compile a list of the top six observations I've made about them.

1. The Taste

This may seem trivial, but bear with me because it's the truth: they have a minty aftertaste that I absolutely adore. I've tried other multivitamins before that tasted so bad I had to throw up just thinking about it. The fact of the matter is, you probably won't take your vitamins very regularly if the taste turns you off.

2. Delayed-Release No-Nausea Capsules

The differentiating factor for me is that I don't have to worry about getting sick if I take them at odd times of the day or with no food in my stomach.

The fact that I can keep the bottle on my nightstand alongside the rest of my skincare products and simply take one as part of my nightly routine is a huge plus for me.
When I was younger and tried vitamins that needed to be taken with food, I frequently forgot to take them in the mornings because I was in such a rush to get ready for the day.

Trying to remember to bring them was a bit of a nightmare, what with how often I have lunch and dinner meetings and how little time I have between the two.

3. Two Per Day Is Enough

For me personally, taking six large pills daily is a hassle I'd rather avoid. The Ritual Capsules are diminutive (dare I say adorable) and manage to cram 9 essential nutrients into only one daily dose of just 2 pills.

4. The Subscription Method

I had trouble keeping track of when I needed to restock other multivitamins, as I mentioned earlier. The convenience of a subscription service like Ritual is that I don't have to give it much thought or make any advanced preparations before I receive each issue.

5. The Main Ingredients

They don't have any dairy, GMOs, gluten, or honey. Transparency is important to me if I'm going to put something in my body, especially when it comes to the ingredients.

Here is a list of what is in the formula for Ritual:

  • Boron: helps keep bones healthy.
  • Folate: helps keep the brain healthy.
  • Iron: helps build blood.
  • Magnesium: helps maintain healthy bones.
  • Omega-3 DHA: helps maintain healthy brains.
  • Vitamin B12: helps maintain a healthy energy-producing metabolism.
  • Vitamin D3: helps maintain healthy bones.
  • Vitamin E: helps fight free radicals.
  • Vitamin K2 MK7: helps maintain healthy bones.

So, yeah, I guess that's about it. I'm HASHTAG LOYAL to Ritual. Like, other than my husband, I haven't been this loyal to anything in a really long time. Although I can't personally vouch for them, I've heard great things about Ritual Prenatal Vitamins from my pregnant friends.

6. Sustainability

Something else I've learned recently that's worth mentioning is that the bottles sold by Ritual are completely made out of recycled materials. And the envelopes they come in? These are printed with ink made from plants and are constructed from recycled newspapers.

Click here and use the code "LINDS10" to get 10% off your first 3 months if you're interested or thinking about trying them out. Oh, and if you're not happy after the first month, they'll give you your money back, which I don't think will happen!
