Carry a Straw Bag
Many summer beach maxi dresses are cute on their own, but add some beachy accessories and your style score increases by a factor of ten. Here's what I'm talking about.
This soft and sunny floral beach maxi dress features small spaghetti straps, a ruffled hem, and a feminine front slit. It would be weighed down by a hefty leather bag.
When you wear it with a straw tote, however, you suddenly feel like you're at the beach. Even in black, this charming black and white tote with its lively, round handle and fun tassels appears light and airy and has a cute, whimsical appeal.
If you can't find a straw bag, rattan, rope, or even crochet will do the trick.

Anything with shells, glass, or beach stones is a logical choice for jewellery if you're styling anything beachy. This outfit is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Begin with a lovely boho beach maxi dress in a tropical flower print. This one appeals to me because of the charming peasant sleeves and lovely tie front.
Then add some natural earrings, such as these stunning gilded-edge shells with twisted hoops. These eye-catching earrings are perfect for a breezy beach outfit because they have an arts and crafts feel to them. Wear dangly earrings or hoops to complete this casual bohemian look. Studs are excessively self-conscious.
Strappy Sandals with a Slip-On
What kind of shoes should you wear with a beach maxi? The solution is simple. Summery and sexy is anything strappy. Wedges are a natural choice for adding height because they are comfortable, functional, and easy to walk in. Again, you're going for a natural look and feel, so go for rope, straw, wood, cork, or braided wedges to complete the image.

Wearing anything beaded is another fantastic way to enhance the beachy vibe of a casual beach maxi dress (or, in the instance above, a midi dress). Colorful, rustic beads give a natural appearance and feel that goes well with a beachy summer style.
When you add swingy, beaded tassel earrings to this airy, striped linen slip dress, it comes to life. It gives me the impression that I'm in for a great summer!
